Sumner-Fred student Athlete of the Week: Cami Judisch & Noah Henderson. Cami placed first this weekend at the Central Elkader tournament. Noah placed 2nd place this weekend at the Tripoli Tournament and is currently 17-3 on the season. Congratulations Cami & Noah!
MS activities are back in action this week! We have practices for Cheer, girls WR and boys BB on Jan 8,9, & 11. We have pictures on Jan 11 so bring your form with money. Wednesday morning is Boys BB shuttle leaves HS @6:10am with practice starting at 6:30AM.
Friday Jan 12 Girls WR travel to Oelwein HS starting at 4:15.
Friday Jan 12 Cheer & Boys BB have their first home game with Nashua-Plainfield with 7th grade starting @4:15 followed by 8th grade.

Cougar Basketball is back in action tonight vs Grundy Center. JV B/G starts at 4:30 PM with varsity starting at 6:15 PM.
The Cougar boys wrestling team will be traveling to A-P tonight to face the A-P Falcons and Columbus Sailors. Action starts at 6:15 PM.

FES played Christmas Bingo on the last day of school of 2023. Thank you to Miss Henniges for being the caller, and thank you to her grandpa for letting us use his equipment. There are also more pictures of the December STAR Cougars walking the red carpet in style.
FES celebrated December Birthdays and STAR Cougars at the last Cougar Way Assembly of 2023. May the Cougar Way shine even more in 2024!!
FES had their Cougar Way Assembly. In the skit, Grandpa and Grandma had their grandkids over for Christmas. They took a family picture and played a reindeer game with Grandpa. When they went to bed, the Wild Thing got out of its crate and stole all the Christmas decorations and presents! Grandpa and the boys hunted the Wild Thing down and returned it to its crate. The grandkids learned that the most important part of Christmas is spending time with your family. You can watch the whole skit at this link:

FES presented library director, Jackie Kush, with the #1 Elf in Freddy-ville Award. Jackie's upbeat personality, easy-going nature, and creativity make her the best person for this title. She organized two afternoons filled with fun for our elementary classes. Thank you, Jackie, for all of your hard work!
