During the month of March, FES will be focusing on the CARING character pillar. For our Caring Project, we want students and staff to bring in spare change that will be donated to the Fredericksburg Food Pantry. To hopefully increase donations and fun, we are adding a little competition to this project. Each Kindergarten through 4th Grade classroom teacher has a container. Students and staff will put their change in the teacher's container of their choice. The teacher who has the most money in his or her container will have to put on red lipstick and kiss a pig at our next assembly!
Mason has the broom because it's a SWEEP! The traveling trophy never left this 2nd grade classroom! Congratulations!

During his presentation, he shared how he gets ideas for his books and talked about the writing process. He read some of his books, and he had some students act out his book Hank the Bully. His MAGIC Book was a crowd favorite! More book order forms were sent home today, and they are due back tomorrow (Wednesday). Thank you to Coach Sloth for coming up here today...the kids loved it!
