The City of Sumner will be conducting a bridge survey on October 27th and 28th that will close West 5th Street between North Division Street and North Polk Street- in front of the Bus Barn. This is a temporary closure only affecting one (1) school day. To help with drop-off and pick-up we are asking parents to use West 6th Street (Golf Course Road) and go down to Maple Street before heading back towards Durant. After you leave Durant, please turn and go North on Polk Street to West 6th Street. Please see attached map for reference, as always please be patient and courteous. Please DO NOT PARK in the Bus Barn gravel lot. We appreciate your assistance!

Durant Elementary Fire Station Visit
Durant Elementary students visited the fire station last Friday. Thank you to the Sumner Volunteer Fire Department for teaching them about fire safety and showing them around the station!
SFMS presents 6th grade mini-musical tonight at 6:30pm in the main gym. Concessions will be available before.
UPDATED - A reminder that Parent-Teacher Conferences are on Monday, October 24 will be from 3:30 until 6:30 PM and Thursday, October 27 from 3:30 to 8:00 PM.
This change is to accommodate Volleyball Regional Tourney. There will be no school on Friday, October 28.
